These Terms govern your access to and use of Soundr8 — our mobile app, website, and related services. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
You must be at least 13 years old to use Soundr8, or older if required by the laws of your country. By using the Service, you confirm that you meet the applicable age requirement and have the legal capacity to agree to these Terms. If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you may only use the Service with the consent of a parent or legal guardian.
Soundr8 is a social music rating platform. It allows users to create profiles, rate albums and individual tracks, share ratings and reviews, follow other users, and discover music through a personalised social feed powered by third-party music data and AI-assisted recommendations.
We may modify, suspend, discontinue, or restrict any part of the Service at any time, with or without notice, where reasonably necessary for operational, technical, legal, or business reasons. We will always try to provide advance notice of significant changes.

You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account, whether or not authorised by you, unless caused by our failure to exercise reasonable care. We reserve the right to refuse registration, reclaim usernames, suspend, or terminate accounts where necessary to enforce these Terms or protect the Service.
Your username, display name, profile image, and bio must not:
We may reject, remove, or require you to change any profile element at our discretion if we believe it violates these Terms or is otherwise inappropriate for the Service.

You may submit ratings, reviews, profile information, images, and other content through the Service ("User Content"). You retain ownership of any intellectual property rights in your User Content. By submitting User Content, you grant Soundr8 a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable, sublicensable licence to host, store, reproduce, modify for technical purposes, display, and distribute that content solely to operate and improve the Service.
This licence ends within a commercially reasonable period after you delete your User Content or account, except where the content has been shared with others, is required for legal purposes, or is necessary for enforcement of these Terms.
You represent and warrant that you own or control all rights necessary to submit your User Content, that it does not violate these Terms or any law, and that it does not infringe any third-party rights.
We may — but are not obligated to — monitor the Service and review User Content for compliance with these Terms. We use a combination of automated tools, human review, and user reports for moderation. We reserve the right, in our sole discretion, to remove, restrict, or refuse to publish any User Content, and to suspend or terminate accounts, where we believe it is necessary to enforce these Terms, protect users, prevent abuse, or comply with applicable law.
The following conduct will result in immediate content removal and account termination, and may be referred to law enforcement:
Profile photos and other images uploaded to Soundr8 are subject to automated and manual moderation review. We may reject or remove images that contain nudity, sexual content, graphic violence, hate symbols, extremist content, weapons imagery, or other material we reasonably consider inappropriate. Repeated or serious violations may result in account restrictions or termination.
Soundr8 uses AI-assisted features to generate personalised music recommendations based on your taste profile — the genres, eras, and artists you selected during onboarding, combined with your rating history. These recommendations are generated server-side and do not expose your personal information to third-party AI providers beyond anonymised taste signals. You may opt out of AI-powered recommendations by contacting support@soundr8.app.
Soundr8 integrates with third-party services including music platforms, identity providers, analytics providers, and music metadata providers. We do not own album artwork, artist names, track information, or similar music-related metadata made available through third-party APIs. Such content remains the property of its respective owners and rights holders. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or reliability of third-party services or content.
The Service — including its software, design, branding, logos, features, text, graphics, and other proprietary elements — is owned by or licensed to Soundr8 and is protected by intellectual property and other applicable laws. Except as expressly permitted in these Terms, you may not copy, reproduce, distribute, modify, reverse engineer, or otherwise exploit any part of the Service without our prior written consent.
If you provide suggestions, ideas, or other feedback regarding Soundr8, you agree that we may use that feedback without restriction, compensation, or obligation to acknowledge it. We welcome feedback and use it to improve the Service.
We may suspend, restrict, or terminate your access to all or part of the Service at any time, with or without notice, if you violate these Terms, your use poses a risk to the Service or other users, we are required to do so by law, or we discontinue the Service. You may stop using the Service at any time and delete your account through available account settings. Deletion of your account is subject to the data retention terms described in our Privacy Policy.
The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Soundr8 disclaims all warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that any content or data will be accurate or reliable. Music metadata, album artwork, and recommendation results are provided by third parties and may contain inaccuracies.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Soundr8 and its associated parties will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, goodwill, or business. Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the Service will not exceed the amount you paid to Soundr8 in the previous 12 months, or €100, whichever is greater. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be excluded by law.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Soundr8, its founders, owners, officers, employees, and service providers from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, your User Content, or your violation of any law or third-party rights.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Italy. Any disputes arising under or in connection with these Terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Milan, Italy, unless otherwise required by applicable mandatory consumer protection laws in your country of residence.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes at least 14 days before they take effect, via a notice in the app or by email. The date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent update. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
